FIRST SEMESTER 2015-2016 ACADEMIC YEAR OPENING ARRANGEMENTS FOR CHANCELLOR COLLEGE NEW AND CONTINUING STUDENTS

Chancellor College wishes to inform its new and continuing students, parents/guardians and the general public that opening arrangements for the first semester of 2015/16 academic year are as follows:-

OPENING DATES

The official opening date for the first semester of the 2015/16 academic year is 1st February, 2016. However, specific categories of students are requested to take note of the specific dates indicated below:

  • Year 1 Students: 18th January, 2016 - Orientation starts
  • Year 1 Law (LLB Honours) Students: 25th January, 2016 - Orientation starts
  • Mature Entry Students: 25th January, 2016 - Orientation starts
  • Continuing Students: 1st February, 2016 - Classes start
  • Note that all students are advised to arrive at least a day earlier than the starting dates stated above.

TUITION FEES

Students are advised to start paying for tuition fees contribution by 11th January, 2016 through the following bank details:-

Students are being advised that the College shall not accept any cash payment. Cheque payments are not allowed unless it is bank certified. The deposit slip should bear the name of the student, registration number, programme and year of study. Continuing students are advised to check their portals for new registration numbers to be indicated on the deposit slip.

REGISTRATION

SARIS will be open for registration on-line from Monday, 25th January, 2016. Only students who will pay 50% of their financial contribution shall be allowed to register. Students who fail to register within a period of two weeks from the official opening date shall have their admission revoked or withdrawn from the College.

STUDENTS UPKEEP

All continuing students on government scholarship who will register by 28th January, 2016 shall be entitled to a monthly allowance of K50, 000.00 for the duration the students shall be on campus paid on pro-rata basis. The first payment for first semester shall be paid during the first week of arrival on campus. Only registered students will be paid upkeep allowance.

ACCOMMODATION

First Year Students should enquire by calling Porters’ Lodge on 0888 638800 to check if they have been offered a place on campus. All continuing students who were tentatively offered accommodation on campus and are repeating should look for alternative lodging as earlier communicated. Continuing students who were not successful in getting campus accommodation should check their portals or e-mails in case they have been lucky during second allocation. The College website (www.cc.ac.mw) has some information on possible accommodation providers for students to enter into private arrangements.
