FIRST SEMESTER 2018-2019 ACADEMIC YEAR OPENING ARRANGEMENTS FOR CHANCELLOR COLLEGE NEW AND CONTINUING STUDENTS

2018/2019 Academic Year Opening Arrangements for Chancellor College New and Continuing Students

 

Chancellor College wishes to inform its new and continuing students, parents/guardians and the general public that opening arrangements for the first semester of 2018/19 academic year are as follows:-

 

OPENING DATES

The official opening date for the first semester of the 2018/19 academic year is 20th August, 2018. However, specific categories of students are requested to take note of the specific dates indicated below:

13th, August, 2018 Orientation for new students in the following programs:

Year 1 Students; 

Year 1 Law (LLB Honours) Students;

Year 1 Diploma in Statistics Students; and

All Mature Entry Students.

 

20th August, 2018 Beginning of classes for new and continuing students

 

24th August, 2018 Beginning of classes for Bachelor of Arts (Human Resource Management) students

 

10th September, 2018 Orientation for Postgraduate students -September Intake

 

17th September, 2018 Beginning of classes for Bachelor of Arts (Communication and Cultural Studies) students

 

8th October, 2018 Orientation for Year 1 Diploma Law students

 

TUITION FEES

Students are advised to start paying for tuition fees contribution by 6th August, 2018 through their 12 digit numbers through any National Bank of Malawi branches or use MO626.Students are being advised that the College shall not accept any cash payment. Cheque payments are not allowed unless it is bank certified. The deposit slip should bear the 12 digit numbers.

 

Students are being reminded that the policy is that no fees no registration.

 

REGISTRATION

SARIS will be open for registration on-line from Monday, 13th August, 2018. Only students who will pay 50% of their financial contribution shall be allowed to register. Students who fail to register within a period of two weeks from the official opening date shall have their admission revoked or withdrawn from the College.

 

STUDENTS UPKEEP

All continuing students on government scholarship who had been receiving upkeep allowances shall access their allowances by 24th August, 2018 subject to complete registration.

 

ACCOMMODATION

All students are reminded that admission is on non-residential basis. However, the limited campus accommodation has been allocated to a few students. First Year Students should enquire by calling Porters’ Lodge on 0888638000 to check if they have been offered a place on campus. All continuing students who were tentatively offered accommodation on campus and are repeating should look for alternative lodging as earlier communicated. Continuing students who were not successful in getting campus accommodation should check their portals or e-mails in case they have been provided accommodation during second allocation. The College website (www.cc.ac.mw) has some information on possible accommodation providers for students to enter into private arrangements.
