From UNIMA to Oxford: Teaching Assistant Wins Prestigious Fully Funded Scholarship

Mr. Kamanga, a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Economics at the University of Malawi, has been awarded the highly competitive Oxford Department of International Development (ODID) Departmental Scholarship to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics for Development at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. He is expected to commerce his studies in September 2026.
A proud alumnus of UNIMA, Mr. Kamanga joined the university as a Teaching Assistant in 2025 after graduating with a Bachelor of Economics with Distinction the same year.
