Esthery Dembo Kunkwenzu has a PhD in curriculum studies obtained from Stellenbosch University, RSA; a Master of Education degree from Edith Cowan University, Australia; a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced professional Studies obtained from Stratheclyde University in Scotland and a Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Malawi. Esthery has expertise and experience in teacher education and is well grounded in research. She has worked with the University of Malawi for over 15 years. She has also experience working in the UK, Sierra Leone and Egypt.
