Research Areas

My interests lie in the synthesis, structure and physical properties of inorganic materials. The underlying theme is to identify and modify materials on the basis of their atomic or ionic arrangement using unusual synthetic methodology. The aims are to discover new materials with potential useful properties, particularly with projected applications in nanotechnology and sustainable energy. Key areas: sustainable energy materials, inorganic nanomaterials and sustainable materials processing. Other areas: Electrochemistry & inorganic materials for water treatment,
