Profile
Dr. Jupiter Simbeye is a Senior Lecturer in Statistics in the Mathematical Sciences Department, School of Natural and Applied Sciences (SNAS) at the University of Malawi. He is also serving as Senate Representative for the school and Coordinator for the PhD in Biostatistics. He holds a PhD in applied statistics from the University College Dublin in Ireland. He has previously served as Deputy Dean in the then Faculty of Science of the University of Malawi from January 1, 2021 to August 31st 2022. Before the position of Deputy Dean, he also served as Head of the Mathematical Sciences Department, including other positions as Deputy Head and Coordinator for the Master of Science in Biostatistics. His research interests focuses on Complex Survey Designs and Analysis, Generalized Linear Models, Spatial Data Analysis with Public Health applications including HIV & AIDS. He is proficient in the following software applications: Stata, SPSS, CSPro (Android CAPI platform inclusive), R, LaTeX and MS Office applications.
