Profile

Dr Ngcimezile Mbano-Mweso, is a senior lecturer and the Head of Public Law and Clinical Legal Education Department in the School of Law, Economics and Government in University of Malawi. She has a Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Western Cape, Master of Laws degree (Human Rights and Democratization in Africa) from the University of Pretoria and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from University of Malawi. She is also the Coordinator of Gender Justice Clinic, a learning platform for students and for community engagement to promote gender equality through advocacy, research for policy reforms and legal aid services. Her research interests are gender, governance and climate change. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Gender and Law, Human Rights, Environmental Law, Water Governance and Natural Resources Law.
