Profile

Bashir is a registered medical laboratory technologist with the Malawi Medical Council. He has over 7 years of work experience as a laboratory technician in the Department of Biological and Biomedical Health Sciences. Before joining the university, Bashir worked as a medical laboratory technician at Mlambe Mission Hospital under the Christian Health Association of Malawi. Bashir has a strong interest in microbiology, specifically in understanding antimicrobial resistance and the role of food-producing animals in disease epidemiology in Malawi, in relation to the One Health Approach.
