Profile
Kondwani Bright Simbota is an accomplished scholar in music with extensive experience in teaching, curriculum development, and community outreach. He has held leadership and administration roles at the University of Malawi, including Deputy Head and Acting Head of the Fine and Performing Arts Department, and Programme Coordinator for the Media for Development Degree programme. Kondwani has also been involved in community engagement and outreach, conducting band skills and leadership training workshops for music bands in communities surrounding the Chirunga campus of the University of Malawi. Additionally, he has secured funding for the purchase of music, art, and film production equipment for the School of Arts Communication and Design and implemented a project that trained artists in art professionalism and entrepreneurship. Kondwani's professional achievements include producing award-winning radio and TV shows, influencing policy change in the Ministry of Health, and demonstrating expertise in the technical, conceptual, and content development of marketing interventions. His skills and abilities encompass a wide range of areas, including radio, TV, and print content development, creative team leadership, marketing strategies and campaigns, and public and media relations.
