My research interests are in film philosophy, screen cultures, representation in film, television, and digital media, film interpretation and audience reception, the ethics of representation in film and media, and participatory film production. ,

Profile

Odala is a film director, producer, and part-time lecturer passionate about the intersection of film production and media communications for development. He teaches practical media courses at the University of Malawi within the Departments of Film and Photography, Communication and Cultural Studies, and Drama. As the founder of his own company, Innate Media Works, he also directs and produces films.
