Profile
Emmillian Mtekateka is an agricultural economist and is currently serving as a lecturer at the University of Malawi. Her research interests are in agricultural and rural development, with a focus on food systems and how they help to achieve sustainable food security and improved nutrition. She holds a master's degree in agricultural economics from the University of Pretoria, obtained in 2021, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Malawi, earned in 2015. Her professional experience spans roles as a quantitative data analyst for NIRAS LTS and a research assistant at both the Institute of Food, Nutrition and Well-being at the University of Pretoria and Kirk Development Research and Training Consultancy Company in Malawi.
