Juba Kafumba is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Research (CSR) of the University of Malawi responsible for the design and implementation of research projects on the national economy, sustainable development and governance. She holds a Master of Science Degree (Regional Development Economics) from Ege University (Turkey) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (Economics) from the University of Malawi. As a development economist with vast experience in research, her core areas of interests are youth and women empowerment, poverty and sustainable livelihoods, socio cultural aspects of public health, globalization and regional integration, targeting development interventions, project planning and management, monitoring and evaluation and social protection. She has coordinated different research and presented at various forums as well as provided services as a resource person on areas such as monitoring and evaluation of programs, Sustainable Energy, youth transitions into employment, Decent work; Child labour, Sexual Harassment and Sexual reproductive health rights.
