Profile

Syned Mthatiwa is a Professor of English at the University of Malawi. He was educated in Malawi and in South Africa. He was a doctoral fellow at Wits Institute for Social and Economic Research (WISER), University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. His research interest is in ecocriticism or ecophilosophy more generally, postcolonial literary and cultural studies, oral literature, popular literature, poetry and the novel.
