The School of Law, Economics and Government is inviting applications to fill one post of Assistant Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor in the Private Law Department.
Job Requirements:

Applicants for the post of Assistant Lecturer must hold a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) Upper Second-Class from a recognized University.

For the post of Senior Lecturer, applicants must in addition to holding a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) Upper Second-Class and a Master’s Degree in Law (LLM) have a good record of publication in their field of expertise

For the post of Associate Professor/Professor must in addition to holding a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) Upper Second-Class degree and a Master’s Degree in Law (LLM) have a PhD/LLD from a recognized University and a good record of publication and research in their field of expertise
Duties & Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities shall include:

Teaching private law courses including, the law of Business organizations, Torts, Wills and Succession and Family Law

Undertaking research and consultancy work
-
Participating in community outreach activities
-
Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate student projects
-
Participating in all academic and professional activities of the Department
-
Initiating research projects
-
Initiating and participating in resource mobilization activities
-
Carrying out any duties as may be assigned by the Head of the Department from time to time.
