CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR INTERNSHIP POSITIONS RE-ADVERTISED
The School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) has a memorandum of understanding with Nations Publications Limited (NPL). One of the agreements under the MoU is that NPL will offer internships for SHSS students. To that effect, SHSS is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for internship positions tenable at Nations Publications Limited offices in Mzuzu (1), Lilongwe (2) and Blantyre (1). The interns will work under seasoned print media journalists and editors for two months.
Job description
The successful candidates will be expected to:

Assisting with research and the timely gathering of news data.

Assisting with drafting news articles for both print and online

Assisting with editing and proofreading copy for newsletters, press releases, and website articles.

Scheduling interviews and collating written and electronic data.

Assisting with documenting and archiving news articles.

Assisting in covering public events.
-
Any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements

Must be a third-year student in any programme of study under SHSS
-
Have an overall GPA grade of 3.0 and above
-
Demonstrated excellent writing and analytical abilities
-
Fluency in English and other local languages.

Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.

Should be willing to work on a voluntary basis and cover their own transport costs.
