Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor/ Professor (UM 7) (2 positions)

Qualifications & Attributes

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria regarding bar admission and educational qualifications:

  1. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer

    • Must have been admitted to the bar for a minimum of 10 years.

    • Must hold at least an Upper Second-Class Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree.

    • Must possess a Master's Degree in Law (LLM) from a recognized university.

  2. Associate and/or Professor

    • Must have been admitted to the bar for at least 10 years.

    • Must possess a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree, a Master's Degree in Law (LLM), and a PhD from a recognized university.

Duties and responsibilities

The successful candidates will be expected to carry out the following duties among others,

  • Initiate and conduct research in their area of specialization.

  • Participate in community outreach and engagement activities.

  • Contribute to all academic and professional activities within the department.

  • Deliver clinical and experiential legal education across all levels.

  • Lecture in at least two or more of the following courses:

  • Law of Evidence

  • Legislative Drafting

  • Clinical Legal Education

  • Revenue Law
