There are the following vacancies in the University’s research centres:

Head of Centre for Language Studies (CLS)

Head of Centre of Education Research and Training (CERT)

Head of Natural Resources and Environmental Centre (NAREC)
Purpose of the Job
To lead in the management of the operations of the research centres
Key Roles and Responsibilities
-
Developing, reviewing, implementing and monitoring policies, plans, programmes, strategies, guidelines and budgets for the centre.
-
Monitoring, implementing and maintaining standards for the activities of the centre.
-
Initiating and undertaking research projects, consultancies and outreach programmes including tracer studies.
-
Monitoring compliance to quality standards.
-
Raising the centre’s international academic profile in line with the University’s internalisation strategy.

Developing and implementing resource mobilisation plans, strategies and monitoring efficient resource utilisation for the centre
-
Establishing and maintaining partnership and links with government, the public and private sectors, development partners and international communities.

Representing the centre at various fora.
-
Preparing reports.
Minimum Education Qualifications and Experience
-
PhD
-
Five (5) years’ relevant experience.
