Research Fellow at Center for Social Research (CSR)
Applicants must have a PhD in Economics or Development Studies with a minimum of three years post qualification experience. They should also have solid experience in proposal development and production of academic publications. The applicants should also have demonstrated competencies in conceptual and analytical skills, superior writing and oral presentation skills, self-initiative, ability to build winning teams and network globally, and ability to write fund winning proposals.
Duties

Developing proposals for research projects which will make significant impacts and lead to an increase in knowledge, understanding and the development of new explanations, insights, concepts and processes.

Conducting and managing a specific program of research and scholarship as part of the Center’s research portfolio.

Taking a leading role in the further development of the research programme and in seeking and pursuing appropriate external funding

Working independently and autonomously on research and policy projects whilst networking with both local and international partners

Engaging in teaching and learning activities as stipulated in the contract of employment

Engaging in training and development activities of the Center

Conducting community engagement and outreach activities
