Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the post of Staff Associate/ Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor/ Professor in Religious Education existing in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Studies at Chancellor College.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants at Staff Associate level should have obtained a first degree in Education (with credit or distinction) majoring in Religious Studies and with not less than two years teaching experience at secondary school level. Applicants at Lecturer level must be holders of a Masters or Doctorate Degree in Religious Education with a minimum of two years teaching experience at a recognized University or an equivalent institution. Those seeking the Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor/ Professor levels must provide evidence of their research experience as well as appropriate number of publications (either books or articles in refereed journals).
Duties
The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching of Religious Education courses at all levels, carry out research in Religious Studies Education, supervise students’ teaching practice and research projects, be part of academic consultants within the broader areas of the department, and participate in outreach activities.
