Staff Associate/Lecturer Senior/Lecturer in FineArt

Applicants must possess a minimum of a credit in Bachelor of Arts Humanities or Bachelor of Education majoring in Fine Art (for Staff Associate) or a minimum of a Master’s Degree or PhD in Fine Art ( for Lecturer and Senior Lecturer positions) obtained from a recognized institution. A track record of publications, academic paper presentation, exhibitions, research and consultancies for candidates applying for Senior Lecturer position is a requirement.

In addition, applicants must have the ability to teach various Fine Art modules offered in the Fine Arts Section. Candidates with a background in Graphic Design or Motion Graphics will have an added advantage. Applicants must further prepare an accomplished up-to-date portfolio of their work.

Interviews for this position will involve both practical and oral interviews.

Duties

  1. Teaching, setting and timely marking examinations for undergraduate courses.

  2. Engaging in the development of curricula for undergraduate studies currently, and postgraduate studies in the short term for Senior Lecturers successful candidates.

  3. Conducting research, consultancies and publishing in the area of expertise.

  4. Supervising student projects.

  5. Participating in all academic seminars and professional art exhibition within the department and elsewhere.

  6. Organizing students’ exhibition and outreach activities with the area of expertise.

  7. Performing any other academic and official duties as may be assigned from time to time.
