Staff Associate/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor/ Professor in Adolescent Psychology

Applications are invited for interested and suitably qualified persons for the challenging and demanding academic position in the Education Foundations Department tenable at the University of Malawi. There is only one position at either Staff Associate, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor or Professor level in Adolescent Psychology.

Applicants for Staff Associate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with CREDIT or DISTINCTION from a reputable university plus a minimum of two years teaching experience.

Applicants for Lecturer must have at least a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology Plus a Bachelors Degree in Education with CREDIT or DISTINCTION.

Applicants at senior lecturer, Associate Professor or Professor level should provide evidence of their publications.

The successful candidate will be expected to: teach educational psychology courses and other related education foundation courses to both undergraduate AND postgraduate students; Supervise students on teaching practice, carry out research, consultancies and outreach activities; supervise students’ research work; offer in-service training; and carryout any duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Department, School of Education and the university.
