UNIVERSITY OF MALAWI CONGREGATION FOR THE 2020-2021 GRADUANDS
The University of Malawi wishes to inform graduands and the general public that its first Congregation for 2022 will be held on Wednesday, 13th April, 2022 in the Great Hall at University of Malawi in Zomba from 7:30 a.m.
Graduands and the general public should note that, the Chancellor of the University, His Excellency the State President, Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, has delegated the Vice Chancellor, Professor Samson Sajidu to preside over the graduation.

GRADUATION PROCESSING FEE
Academic dress for the Congregation shall be available for hire from Tuesday, 5th April, 2022 from graduands’ respective universities at the following cost:
(i) Diploma Set K12, 000
(ii) Bachelors Set K15, 000
(iii) Masters Set K45, 000
(iv) PhD Set K60, 000
All graduands must return their academic dress immediately after the graduation ceremony. Any unreturned academic dress shall attract a penalty fee equivalent to the graduation processing fee of the respective gown for each subsequent day of delay payable before the release of the certificate. Graduands with outstanding fees balances have not been included in this graduation.
DRESS REHEARSALS
Dress rehearsals for the Congregation will be held on Tuesday, 12th April, 2022 from 8:00 am in the Great Hall at University of Malawi in Zomba. Graduands are required to come in their graduation attire and are asked to be punctual. Only those that attend rehearsals shall be allowed to graduate.
