Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Academic Literacy/Language and Communication Skills
The University of Malawi invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Academic Literacy/Language and Communication Skills in the Department of Academic Skills and Careers Department in the School of Arts, Communication and Design.
Applicants should possess at least a minimum of a Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics/English Language Teaching such as Teaching English as a Foreign Language/Teaching English as a Second Language/English for Specific Purposes/English for Academic Purposes or any related discipline with at least a credit at both Bachelors and Masters’ degree level. These should be from a reputable accredited institution of higher learning.
Duties

To deliver lectures and tutorial instructions;

To set, administer, and mark continuous assessment examinations;

To set, mark end of semester examinations, and submit grades timely to the Head of Department.

To contribute to the growth of the department and the university through research and scholarly publications.
