In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. 

Our event is called TEDxLilongwe, where x = independently organized TED event.

At our TEDxLilongwe event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.

TEDx Zomba

This is a livestream event of TEDxLilongwe happening in Lilongwe that has an exciting speaker line up, from Chief Therese Kachindamoto, who has been gaining attention for her work fighting early child marriage, to Lake of Stars founder Will Jameson, to feminist activist and MP Jessie Kabwila.

If you can't come for the whole day you could come for a speaker block - running 8:30am - 10am, 10:30am - 12pm, 1:15pm - 2:30pm and 3pm - 4:15pm.
