Chaplain - Contract
Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in either Theology or Counseling or Social Sciences. A qualification in Counseling will be an added advantage. Candidates must have experience of ministry in a University or academic community, be able to demonstrate an understanding of residential university colleges, values and organisational ethos. They should also have an ability and experience working with students/young people and they should also have experience of exercising pastoral care, in a church or other environment.
Duties

To provide moral and spiritual support to students and/or staff

Providing general counselling to students and staff regardless of one's faith

Providing spiritual and pastoral support to students, staff and the College community in general

Serve as the primary preacher in the United Christian Congregation/Chapel.

Organising the life of the United Christian Congregation/Chapel, including services, and stimulating the development of a flourishing chapel culture.

Conducting special chapel services including weddings, funerals or memorial services for members of the College community as required.

Facilitating daily devotions

Coordinating religious services of the various groups on campus in liaison with student leaders

Developing and maintaining rapport between the College and Religious bodies

Linking management and students/staff in matters relating to religion and morals
