Chief Technician

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the above-named post (on two years contract) in the Department of Biological Sciences at Chancellor College, University of Malawi.

Qualifications

Applicants must have at least a diploma in laboratory technology or in any related field from a recognized institution of higher education. Applicants with prior experience working in academic and research settings will have an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate shall be responsible for coordinating undergraduate practical sessions in biology courses. He/she will also be expected to supervise other junior technicians as well as join departmental research programmes in his/her field of interest.

Remuneration package

A competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered to the successful applicant.
