Instructor/Lecturer in Philosophy

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Malawian candidates to fill the post of Instructor/Lecturer tenable at Chancellor College, Philosophy Department. The post is available on a two-year contract, with the possibility of renewal.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should have at least a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in philosophy,with credit or Master’s Degree in Philosophy from an institution recognized by the University of Malawi, (the first degree should be with credit).

DUTIES

• Teaching various courses at undergraduate level particularly Logic, Ethics, Africa Philosophy and Metaphysics.

• Supervising research projects of undergraduate students.

• Contributing to departmental research activities.

• Participating in outreach programs of the department
