Lecturer in Mathematics Education

The Curriculum and Teaching Studies Department at Chancellor College under the "Improving Quality and Capacity of Mathematics Teacher Education" in Malawi Project wishes to recruit a Lecturer in Mathematics Education on Contract basis for two years and renewable under satisfactory performance.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a minimum of Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education and a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Education Science Degree (with Credit) majoring in Mathematics. Applicants must also have at least two years experience of teaching Mathematics in schools.

Duties

1. Teaching undergraduate students mathematics education.

2. Teaching special mature entry programmes mathematics and mathematics education.

3. Supervise undergraduate students’ school experience and teaching practice.

4. Participating in all academic and professional activities of the Department.

5. Being part of academic consultants within the broader areas of the department.   

6. Carrying out any duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
