Music Laboratory Attendant

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals of Malawian citizen to fill the post of Music Laboratory Attendant tenable at Chancellor College.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a minimum of JCE and five years’ experience in playing more than one music instrument in a dance band or orchestra. Candidates should also have knowledge of basic music theory concepts, and the ability to instruct on the performance, care and tuning of their instruments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Care and safe custody of the Department’s music instruments

• Reporting on any damages on the Department’s music instruments

• Creation of a performance group for purposes of outreach

• Engaging in fundraising ideas for the Department

• Participation in student/staff music concerts and other music events

• Willingness and ability to provide technical and skills instruction to students and staff
