Qualifications
PhD/MA / MMUS) - Orchestra Studies / Music Technology, peer-reviewed journal articles/book chapters and Engagement in professional productions as an Orchestra musician/conductor
Duties
- Teaching, setting and timely marking examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in drama and theatre courses
- Conceptualisation and implementation of practical productions and projects for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in drama and theatre studies
- Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate practical projects
- Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research
- Mentoring and tutoring of students
- Conceptualisation and implementation of outreach programmes with other staff members
- Creation of links with industry both locally and internationally for collaborations in projects, research work and exchange programmes for students and other staff members
- Resource mobilisation for academic, scholarly and outreach activities in the department
- Scholarly peer-reviewed publications for the advancement of oneself and the profile of the Department, the school and the University
- Creation of plans for regional and international invitations to give talks or present works at other institutions of high learning and the drama and theatre industry
- To take up tasks and duties as assigned by the Head of Department, the Executive Dean, and the Vice Chancellor.
- Additionally, Senior Lecturers, Associate Professors and Professors, offer academic leadership through innovations
- To take leadership or participate in inter-disciplinary, and multi-disciplinary research groups for research and joint publications
- To be an ambassador for the department, the school and the university
