Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant positions in the Mathematical Sciences Department at Chancellor College in Zomba as follows:

Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Actuarial Science (2 positions) 
Qualifications & Attributes
Applicants should possess the following qualification and attributes:
- 
A master’s degree or PhD in Actuarial science or related field, with at least a credit first degree from a recognized University. 
- 
For Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer, applicants must also show evidence of engagement in research. Teaching experience at a University or comparable institution, leadership skills and evidence of service to the community and the profession will be added advantages. 
- 
Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Mathematics (on Contract) 
Qualifications & Attributes
Applicants should possess the following qualification and attributes:
- 
A master’s degree or PhD in Mathematics, with at least a credit first degree from a recognized University. 
- 
For Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer, applicants must also show evidence of engagement in research. Teaching experience at a University or comparable institution, leadership skills and evidence of service to the community and the profession will be added advantages. 
- 
Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Statistics 
Qualifications & Attributes
Applicants should possess the following qualification and attributes:
- 
A master’s degree or PhD in statistics, with at least a credit first degree from a recognized University. 
- 
For Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer, applicants must also show evidence of engagement in research. Teaching experience at a University or comparable institution, leadership skills and evidence of service to the community and the profession will be added advantages. 
Duties
Specific responsibilities shall include, but not limited to:
- 
Teaching, setting and timely marking examinations for undergraduate 
- 
Conducting research in the area of specialization 
- 
Supervising undergraduate student projects within the Department 
- 
Participating in all academic and professional activities of the Department 
- 
Carrying out any duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
