QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Applicants must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

For the post of Lecturer, candidates must have at least a Master’s Degree in French, with a minimum of TWO years teaching experience at University level, and preferably with a record of active research and publishing;

For the post of Staff Associate, candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor of Education (Humanities), Bachelor of Education (Languages) or Bachelor of Arts (Humanities) with credit from a recognized institution, majoring in French.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties:

Teaching, setting and timely marking of examinations in the area of African and Caribbean Literature for undergraduate students;

Conducting research and consultancy in their area of specialization;

Supervising undergraduate students’ projects within the Department;
-
Participating in all academic and professional activities of the Department;
-
Representing the Department, the Faculty of Humanities and the University in various Committees.
AGE LIMIT:
Applicants must be less than 40 years old.
