Staff Associate/Assistant Lecturer/Lecturer in Music

Applicants must have at least a Bachelor of Arts Humanities or Bachelor of Education, with Credit, obtained from a recognized University.Applicants must demonstrate the ability to teach a variety of modules offered in the Music Section and they should be able to teach music theory. Applicants must further demonstrate competence in playing at least two key music instruments. Those with teaching experience at tertiary level will have an added advantage.

Duties

1. Teaching, setting and timely marking examinations for undergraduate courses.

2. Conducting research in the area of specialisation.

3. Supervising undergraduate student projects within the Department.

4. Participating in all academic and professional activities of the Department.

5. Being part of academic consultants within the broader areas of the Department.

6. Participating in or performing at student and staff concerts.

7. Organising student performances.

8. Carrying out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
